【学术报告】Biomimetic Materials for Regenerative Medicine and Cell Delivery

报告内容摘要:

学习自然,模拟自然是人类创造各种工具的一个基本方法。王勇教授的团队以核糖核酸和水凝胶为基本结构单元制备出系列仿生材料模拟细胞外基质、植物细胞壁、三维细胞组织等。在该报告中,王勇教授将以仿生细胞外基质和植物细胞壁为例探讨几个再生医学和细胞治疗中的问题和解决这些问题的新思路。 例如,王勇教授将会探讨如何利用核酸适配体合成了仿生材料,并如何利用这类仿生材料实现蛋白质药物可控释放。

Learning from nature is a fundamental principle to create novel materials and tools. Prof. Yong Wang’s research is focused on the application of nucleic acids and hydrogels to develop biomimetic extracellular matrices, cell walls, tissue constructs, etc. In this talk, Prof. Wang will use biomimetic extracellular matrices and cell walls as examples to address several important questions in the fields of regenerative medicine and cell therapy. For example, Prof. Wang will present the methodology of preparing biomimetic materials by using nucleic acid aptamers and the feasibility of using these materials to control protein release for regenerative medicine.

 

报告人简介:

王勇,美国宾夕法尼亚州立大学,生物医学工程系,教授。1995年毕业于吉林大学系环境化学专业并获得学士学位,1998年毕业于中国科学院大连化学物理研究所化学工程专业并获得硕士学位,2004年毕业于美国杜克大学生物医学工程专业并获得博士学位。随后,于2004年至2006年在美国杜克大学医学中心做博士后工作。2006年任助理教授、2011年提前评为副教授、2016年评为正教授。主要研究方向是用于药物传递、再生医学以及临床诊断治疗的可控生物材料的制备及其机理研究。近年来在Nat. Biotechnol., Nat. Comm. Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Biomaterials等杂志发表一系列重要文章。

Prof. Wang is Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Penn State. He received his B.S. degree (1995) in Environmental Chemistry from Jilin University and M.S. degree (1998) in Chemical Engineering from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, respectively. He got his PhD degree from Duke University and accomplished his postdoctoral training at Duke University Medical Center. He started his tenure-track assistant professor position in 2006. He was early promoted to Associate Professor in 2011 and Full Professor in 2016. His research is focused on programmable biomaterials for drug delivery, regenerative medicine and clinical diagnosis. His research findings have been published in journals such as Nat. Biotechnol., Nat. Comm. Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Biomaterials, etc.
